This course is designed to develop communications skills in English. Students will enhance their listening and speaking skills in English through listening exercises, vocabulary building, grammatical exercises, and by practicing oral communication in both formal and informal speech.
Students are required to attend scheduled classes and one (1) hour of English Lab. per week.
Absences: Attendance affects your grade. More than three (3) unexcused absences may seriously impact your ability to pass this course.
Lateness: Please be on time for class. Arriving very late to class, will be considered an absence.
Missed Assignments/Quizzes/Exams: Missed assignments receive a reduction of one letter grade for each class it is late. You will only be allowed to make up any missed quiz or exam if you have a legitimate excuse which can be documented.
Laboratory: You MUST attend English Lab. one (1) hour per week in addition to the class. All class assignments, lab. modules, and quizzes must be completed BEFORE the final exam.
